Family project
Yesterday was my youngest son's baptism. He wore what has become the family baptismal gown -- a lovely white gown knitted by my step-mother years and years ago. My grandmother made a lining for it, which I believe was made of some sort of acetate-like fabric. In any case, it was very slippery against the knitted wool, and made it difficult to hold a wiggling child. So I got to rip out the lining and replace it with a simple cotton lining. It was only a small thing, but I feel good in adding my hand to the family gown. Photos to come!
