Sad News

Yesterday brought some sad news. One of my cousins passed away in his sleep early Saturday morning. Like me, he was in his mid-thirties, and seemingly in good health except for being overweight. His unexpected death has been a grim reminder that even 'young' people can't take their health and longevity for granted. It's time to make changes.

Rest in Peace, Trevor.

  4. I am so sorry for the loss of your cousin. Death is always hard, but it seems so much worse when the person is young.

  5. I'm sorry for you and your family. Obesity is a huge problem, and you are only "seemingly" healthy if you carry extra weight...and who doesn't these days? I fear for my brother who is going down the exact path of our dad at his age. Anyway, I highly recommend "Sugar Nation" by Jeff O'connell and "Why We Get Fat" by Gary Taubes (I hate the title!). They've changed my life!

  6. I'm really sorry to hear about Trevor. He was our neighbour as it happens. He was far too young. I used to wave to Trevor and Davey as they drove by my house on their way to the lake fishing. My girls will be sad to hear as they were all at school together.
