Monster Card Wallet

Jaime from The Clay Family came up with this cute monster wallet for her son and I loved it so much, I had to make one right away! I'm *hoping* to save it as a Christmas gift for my 3 year old, but I'm already itching to show it to him...don't know if I can hold out another 140 days.

Anyway, here it is in all it's monster-y glory.

Jaime included a 'bill' holder in her tot wallet. I made my version large enough to accommodate bills, too, but stitched it closed for now, since my little guy won't be carrying cash anytime soon. If it comes up sooner than I think, I can always un-stitch the top. For now, the wallet will be used to store his library card and swim pass. I also added a closure. I tried to add a no-sew snap but after ruining three of them finally decided sew-on was the way to go!

Okay, I'm off to cruise Jaime's blog for more great ideas, and then later to a birthday party with my oldest son. Should be a fun day. Happy weekend!
