'Vested' interest.
I've started a very simple hooded vest (Simplicity 4383) for my oldest son. It's made of only seven pieces of really cozy fleece, so it should be a fast project, but it does require a bit of applique work, which I've never done, as well as a bit of embroidery -- another skill I lack.
So far, so good, but I need to find a small scrap of fleece for the bear face on the front, as the yellow I chose is a bit bright against the hunter green fleece. Ah well, any excuse to hit the fabric store!
If I like this little vest, I'll try to scale back the size of the pattern so I can make a matching vest for my youngest son. Won't they be a darling pair!
